Job Title: Project Engineer – Digital Engineering Support
Location: Bruce Power Site
Duration: 1 year contract to start
Overview:
The Project Engineer for Digital Engineering Support is responsible for implementing AVEVA Unified Engineering tools into existing Bruce Power processes. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of new digital engineering tools, maintaining project governance standards, and supporting project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
AVEVA Unified Engineering Tools Implementation:
- Support Phase 3 IPT Team Leads and Bruce Power Core Team in integrating AVEVA Unified Engineering tools into existing processes.
- Review completed digitized flow diagrams on behalf of the Bruce Power Core Team.
- Prepare and update standards for AVEVA Engineering as part of governance improvements.
- Support B-LIST and Procedure markups during governance updates.
- Create Computer-Based Training (CBT) content for AVEVA Engineering.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and meet project requirements.
- Set up project calls and maintain regular communication with stakeholders.
- Maintain site presence for face-to-face interactions, including comment dispositions, questions, and obtaining sign-offs.
Project Execution Support:
- Serve as an IPT Team Member under the Project Execution Plan (Section 8.0).
- Integrate with other project team members by providing documentation and communicating key activities' results.
- Escalate issues according to the issue resolution process.
- Accumulate and understand system requirements, supporting the design and testing of systems and processes.
Project Engineer for Digital Engineering Support:
- Implement AVEVA Engineering tools within the existing Bruce Power process.
- Work with existing Bruce Power procedures to understand their intents, ensuring new tools integrate effectively and satisfy procedural requirements
Education and Experience:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience (intermediate to senior level) in design and/or field work.
- Previous experience working with Bruce Power procedures is required to understand their intents for proper integration of new tools.
Certifications and Qualifications:
- Orange badge qualification required to access BA or BB (Qual 2466 for BA, Qual 2467 for BB).
- Target or plan to obtain ADE Qualification.
- Maximo Qualifications: General User (Qual 26017) and Condition Reporting (Qual 26136).
- Qualification in Engineering Change Control (ECC) - COMMON (Qual 28762).
Skills and Attributes:
- Familiarity with the nuclear industry.
- Active Level 1 Security Clearance or in the process of obtaining.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $50.00-$65.00 per hour
