About Us
The Shoreline Power Group is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon, United and AtkinsRéalis located in Kincardine, Ontario. Shoreline Power Group is the centerpiece of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) program which replaces the main components of 6 reactors at the Bruce Power Nuclear Generating Station. The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of calandria tubes, pressure tubes, end fittings, and feeders as well as construction management and trade labor. This project is part of Bruce Power’s Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Power’s eight CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064.
Under the general direction of the Welding Program Lead and Welding Manager, the Project Coordinator will work with a team of Welding Specialists and Welding Supervisors. The Project Coordinator will support the team and welding program by preparing welding documentation, training welding trades and supporting field readiness and execution.
What You'll Do Here
- Review and author work instructions, construction inspection and test plans, technical specifications, drawings, and operation and maintenance manuals to support training development per SAT standards and execution
- Collect and integrate OPEX and Lessons Learned from previous refurbishment campaigns
- Provide boots on the ground coordination, technical, and administrative support for all active welding deliverables
- Coordinate with project staff in the implementation and maintenance of weld management software (Weld Console)
- Develop and maintain welding performance statics and communication dashboards
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned
What You Bring To The Team
⦁ Post-secondary education, preference for Mechanical or welding background (degree or diploma)
⦁ Industrial construction experience in a coordination role
⦁ Knowledge of construction industry best practices for Safety, Quality, Work Planning and Project Controls
⦁ Advanced Skills using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and VISIO
⦁ Experience with database management and programming an asset
⦁ Good communication, organization, and leadership skills
