About Us
Rabbit Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, produced over 200 million pounds of uranium concentrate from 1975 through 2016 and is currently in a safe state of care and maintenance. The uranium mined and milled at Rabbit Lake has been used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world.
The Role
In this role, you will:
- Lead a team of maintenance professionals to ensure safe and efficient maintenance activities
- Maintain appropriate budget and workforce levels to ensure work is planned, scheduled and coordinated to deliver services as effectively as possible
- Provide departmental and site direction and leadership
- Foster a culture of operational excellence and uphold Cameco’s values
- Provide coaching, mentoring and guidance to lead a high performing team
- Assist with the development of department and site strategies and targets
- Provide site senior support as requested, attending daily and weekly meetingsDevelop operating and project budgets in support of maintenance objectives
Required:
- Journeyperson trade, or maintenance related engineering degree or diploma
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive maintenance experience in mining or related heavy industry
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
- Experience supervising and leading front-line staff
- Proficient computer skills
- Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Recommended:
- SAP or maintenance management system experience
- Willingness to participate on the emergency response and/or mine rescue team
