Key Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mill. The uranium milled at Key Lake is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world.
The Role
Reporting to the general supervisor, maintenance, you will be responsible for leading a team that maintains our mobile equipment fleet. You will ensure processes are followed, and work with your team to make continuous improvements as opportunities are identified. You will coach and develop a team of problem solvers.
In this role, you will:
- Provide oversight on the maintenance activities performed on our production slurry haul, heavy equipment, and light vehicle fleets.
- Provide oversight of a crew of trades made up of heavy duty and automotive mechanics.
- Collaborate with other discipline supervisors and departments as required to achieve common goals.
- Play an active role in operational reliability and asset health monitoring.
- Participate in predictive, preventative, and condition-based maintenance. Lead toolbox and safety meetings for your crew daily and weekly.
Required:
- Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial journeyperson certification or a technical diploma in a related discipline.
- 10 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent.
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered.
- Strong organizational, problem solving and communication skills.
- Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.
Recommended:
- A Saskatchewan supervisory certificate.
- First aid certificate.
- Previous working experience using SAP.
- Previous supervisory experience.
Conditions of Employment:

Preference will be given to Residents of Saskatchewan’s North (RSN).
The Key Lake operation is located in northern Saskatchewan and operates on a two week on/two week off rotational schedule. Employees commute to the site by aircraft from designated locations in Saskatchewan.
