About Us
Key Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mill. The uranium milled at Key Lake is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world.
The Role
We are looking for a motivated individual to join the maintenance team at Key Lake.
You will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and be responsible for:
- Performing predictive and preventative maintenance checks on a regular basis to ensure safe and reliable production
- Completing repairs and overhauls on equipment such as pumps, compressors, SAG and ball mills, hydraulic systems and piping systems on surface as well as performing basic welding, as required
- Troubleshooting equipment failures and document repairs
Required:
- Valid Saskatchewan or inter-provincial Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic ticket
- Three to five years of industrial experience
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Team player with good communication skills
- Excellent safety record
- Work a rotational schedule (including night shift) and commute to site by aircraft
Recommended:
- Previous Mill Maintenance experience
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance tracking using SAP

Cameco’s northern Saskatchewan operations operate on a two week on/two week off rotational schedule. Employees commute to the site by aircraft from designated locations in Saskatchewan.
