Key Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mill. The uranium milled at Key Lake is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. The Role
Reporting to the training coordinator, you will be responsible for providing essential support to the training program and its staff in various ways. Cameco is undergoing a digital transformation and the training team requires the support of a talented individual who is able to understand the needs of the department and help to develop innovative solutions.
By utilizing Cameco’s Systematic Approach to Training (SAT), you will collaborate with key stakeholders to assist with the development of training curriculum and delivery plans to meet the operation’s needs and provide support during resource outages. This position includes administrative duties relating to maintaining the training program through compliance-based data entry and program design.
In this role, you will:
- Manage data entry into Cameco’s Learning Management System (LMS) and ISNetworld
- Manage training databases, attendance/enrollment
- Perform external training registrations & travel arrangements for site employees
- Assist with all aspects related to the Systematic Approach to Training
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with various internal & external stakeholders
- Monitor the health of the training program through various reports to forecast training needs
- Contribute to the development of instructional materials
- Explore and procure third-party training providers while adhering to Cameco’s Contractor Management Program Complete various SAP transactions to support departmental supplies, equipment and other activities
Required:
- Diploma in related field
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
- Understanding of Systematic Approach to Training
- Strong computer, presentation, and communication skills (visual, oral & written)
- Ability to respond to changing conditions and prioritize work assignments to meet operational needs
- Exceptional organizational skills
Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Recommended:
- Experience in SAP software
- Experience in a mining environment
