About Us
Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world. Utilities around the world rely on our nuclear fuel products to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco’s corporate office is based in Saskatoon. We are also a leading supplier of uranium refining, conversion, and fuel manufacturing services from our operations in Ontario.
The Role
Cameco’s business technology services (BTS) department is responsible for supporting the business by providing technology solutions that ensure the organization can work effectively and efficiently at all of our global operations.
In this role, you will:
- Be responsible for supporting the BTS governance and compliance environment by ensuring the IT processes and controls are efficient, maintained and managed appropriately
- Lead and support the assessment, monitoring and remediation of compliance issues, and IT process reviews and improvements
- Be responsible for conducting periodic user access reviews and establishing reviews while onboarding new systems
- providing technical expertise on internal control risks and leading practice
- Support internal and external auditors with control testing requirements, coordinate evidence gathering and lead remediation activities
- Provide support including incident, change, configuration, knowledge and problem management
This is a one-year temporary staff position.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline
- Three to five years of experience in a variety of IT roles
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Recommended:
- Applicable ISACA certification such as CGEIT, CISA, CRISC or CISM
- Project and/or Portfolio management experience
- Experience with COBIT, PMBOK and ITIL methodologies
