Mechanical & Piping Lead

- Experienced in preparing and reviewing construction work packages including but not limited to: Piping systems installation and
testing; Mechanical systems installation and testing; Steel structures; Quality and completion systems; Codes and regulations
pertaining to safety, piping and mechanical systems.
- Adept at reviewing, interpreting, organizing, and maintaining designs, data, technical specifications, blueprint drawings, and other
project-related documentation accurately and efficiently.
- An uncompromising commitment to always working safely, and reporting and resolving hazards or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Possession of a Drivers’ License that is valid and in good standing is required.
- Ability to wear and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and assigned.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Exhibits a strong commitment to the safe implementation of all construction operations, ensuring the maintenance of a clean,
safe, and systematically organized work environment, ensuring all tasks are carried out by oneself or personnel in strict adherence
to health, safety, and environmental regulations and protocols.
- Develops comprehensive plans for site mechanical and piping activities and the synchronization of contractors and personnel to
execute operations safely, adhere to project timelines, and ensure quality compliance with project specifications, plans, and
applicable building codes.
- Addresses technical inquiries and non-conformance reports pertaining to mechanical and piping designs, including the execution
of walkdowns of construction as necessary.
- Conducts comprehensive surveillance audits of critical mechanical and piping components and field inspections to ensure
adherence to design intent, implementing corrections where required.
- Collaborates with and provides constructability support to the Project team to ensure Project development and delivery activities
achieve the scope, cost, schedule, quality, and value requirements.
- Collaborates with the environment, health, safety, supply chain, and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with established
company protocols and policies, applicable legislative and regulatory requirements, and licensing commitments.
- Evaluates documentation pertaining to mechanical and piping contracts, including the contractor's project execution plan, quality
assurance plan, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and associated inspection records.
- Communicates design modifications and field engineering alterations to construction and engineering teams; generates reports
as necessary regarding mechanical and piping progress and execution; reviews Contractor turnover documentation; and maintains
comprehensive records of approved deviations from design drawings or specifications.
- Functions as an advisor and mentor to technical personnel regarding construction methodologies and the interpretation of
pertinent codes and standards related to construction, health and safety, and environmental protection.
- Interprets building plans, regulations, and codes to guide the progress of work and ensure compliance with construction
documents.
- Contributes to engineering solutions for site-related inquiries and facilitates the resolution of emerging issues, advising senior
management on potential problems, work interferences, and scheduling difficulties while assisting in conflict resolution.
