About Us
Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world. The Role
As a member of the technical services department, reporting to the manager, SHEQ (Safety Health Environment Quality), technical services, you will provide support to quality management activities, support the corrective action process and support field leadership activities. You will be responsible for ensuring project activities align with the Cameco Management System and the processes used across our business units.
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish requirements and processes.
- Coach, mentor and train team members on quality concepts.
- Complete investigations related to safety and management system incidents.
- Complete internal audits, within the scope of technical services. Manage timely completion of corrective actions, document development and revisions, and leverage the field leadership program and tools to provide high quality coaching and mentoring.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business, or a quality systems related field
- Five to eight years of relevant work experience
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Occasional travel to Cameco’s various locations in Saskatchewan and Ontario
Recommended:
- Experience in the nuclear industry
- American Society for Quality (ASQ) designation and qualification to function as a lead auditor
- Knowledge and experience implementing or monitoring an ISO 9001 complaint management system
