The Role
Cameco’s Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) department in Saskatoon is looking for an enthusiastic team player and critical thinker to join the compliance and licensing team as we assist Cameco’s efforts in energizing a clean air world.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to administer and analyze a comprehensive database of worker and workplace radiation information. This junior level position is an excellent opportunity for growth and learning where you will be mentored and supported as you begin your career.
This is a one-year temporary staff position.
In this role you will:
- Administer and analyze radiation data, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Maintain clear and concise documentation of data sources, collection methods, or revisions applied.
- Provide technical support to site personnel on radiation issues.
- Generate reports and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders
- Prepare and review reports for submission to regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate with other radiation protection professionals and site personnel.
- Travel occasionally to operating sites to aid in collection of radiation samples using specialized equipment and instruments under the guidance of senior staff.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, physics, engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel demonstrating basic data management skills.
- Work independently and as part of a team with safety as a core value.
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered.
Recommended:
- Knowledge or experience in the nuclear industry
- Proficient with SQL for data management and analysis
- Experience with R and Power BI for data analysis, visualization and report creation.

Salary Range: $68,640 - $85,800
You will have the opportunity to work a hybrid work schedule with regular weekly presence in the Saskatoon office. There may be the need for intermittent travel to our sites in Northern Saskatchewan. The details of this flex work arrangement will be discussed with you in the recruitment process.
