The Role:
The Manager, Procurement will spearhead the purchasing processes from selecting suppliers, to ensuring quality delivery of parts, as well as provide guidance on sourcing procurement processes, and procurement personnel.
Our leader will be a supply chain expert who will specialize in implementing cost-effective purchases of all goods and services, and on-time shipment of customer deliverables, in compliance with regulations such as Export Control, ITAR, and CGP. Ensuring quality control and adhering to the company’s policies and procedures on supply chain management will be some of your main priorities when carrying out this role.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Program Management to understand procurement needs for each Program schedule, and manage team to successful execution
- Responsible for resource planning of department personnel
- Work to ensure efficient procurement and delivery of goods to, and within, the facility
- Responsible for sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors, and working with Safety and Mission Assurance to maintain Approved Supplier List
- Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Working with the Contracts department to support tracking of Subcontracts
- Preparing reports and contributing to financial forecast
- Support costing activities for pursuits in the New Business organization
- Represent the RSO business area in the cross-company initiative to modernize and harmonize procurement, planning, and logistics practices
- Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective
- Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
- Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
- Performing risk assessments and monitoring of supplier performance
- Overseeing and managing the IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.
- A lean leader that leads and supports continuous improvement activities
- Preparing KPIs
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or other equivalent
- 7+ years of industry experience in related field.
- Proven experience managing supply chain operations.
- Experience using supply chain management software and tools, including ERP LN
- In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing invoicing and negotiation terms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Familiar with interpreting project schedules
- Management and leadership skills.
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in a unionized environment is an asset.

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.

The compensation range for this position is $115,000-130,000 annually. The specific compensation offered will be based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
