Job Requirements:
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings and use of precision measuring instruments in completion of work tasks.
- Completes mechanical inspections utilizing a variety of measuring equipment.
- Ensure that all parts & documentation successfully meet customer specifications by performing first off, in-process and final inspections.
- Prepares inspection reports and issues final release of documents and parts.
- Utilizes Lean Principles with a Continuous Improvement mindset in daily duties.
- Presents a well-organized, systems thinking approach.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean tidy and organized work area.
- Follows safe work practices at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
This role requires:
- Fluency in English (read, write and speak) and computer literacy in Windows MS Office environment.
- 3-5 years Precision Machining Shop experience and 5yrs current work history with Quality Management System (N285.0, ISO 9001:2015, N299).
- Proven effectiveness in customer/sub-contractor communications/interactions.
Must have reliable personal transportation (no public transportation available) for daily work and occasional travel to Durham, Ontario, when/as needed for Customer Audits.
Early Shift (7am) start time.
