The Structural Building Team is currently looking for an Engineering Specialist to support the growth of the office and the team based out of either Toronto or Ottawa.
Location – Toronto or Ottawa, ON.
Your role in the team:
Actively participate in the design and preparation of plans and specifications (steel, concrete, wood, masonry, etc.).
Conduct studies, surveys, technical reports and structural inspections.
Supervise the execution of structural work during the construction phase.
Ensure that the engineering work is produced according to the quality standards of the industry and respect the National Building Code and Ontario Building Code.
Coordinate projects that impact your structural design with the other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, architecture, process, etc.).
Maintain and develop client and stakeholder relationships.

The ideal candidate:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
Master's degree in Structural Engineering is an asset.
Working towards obtaining the certification to become a P.Eng.
Previous related experience in a structural engineering firm or construction is an asset.
Entry-level experience with structural design software (ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, etc.).
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage changing priorities.
