Key Lake
Key Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mill. The uranium milled at Key Lake is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world.
Position and Responsibilities
As a Services Operator 2 at Key Lake, you will be responsible for operating a variety of mobile equipment to maintain the site, roads and airport in a safe and effective manner. You will be required to haul slurry from McArthur River site to Key Lake site. You will also assist in training and monitoring junior operators and provide support to other trades on site. You will troubleshoot equipment problems and test equipment after repairs. This is a temporary 12-month contract.
Required:
- Minimum grade 12 or equivalent.
- A minimum of three to five years of relevant work experience.
- Experience on dozer, backhoes, graders, vac trucks, large loaders.
- Valid 1A driver’s license with a minimum of verified 150,000 km B-train experience.
- Willingness to perform manual labour as required.
- Work a rotation schedule and commute to site by aircraft.
Assets:
- Mobile crane operating experience.

The Key Lake operation is located in northern Saskatchewan and operates on a two week on/two week off rotational schedule. Employees commute to the site by aircraft from designated locations in Saskatchewan.
