Junior DSA Analyst

AtkinsRéalis is looking to hire a Junior DSA Engineer. The department of Deterministic Safety Analysis at AtkinsRéalis (Candu Energy) is engaged in deterministic safety analysis (DSA) in support of new CANDU Nuclear Power Plants both domestic and international.
Location – Mississauga, ON
Your role within the team:
- Work on varied tasks and studies of limited scope and complexity and may be portions of broader assignments.
- Expected to provide accuracy and completeness in calculations, clear presentation of results, etc.
- Will work with senior team members to get training and development which are key to become an independent team member.
- May occasionally be given stretch assignments, Engineer level for training and development purposes.
- May be required to provide technical guidance to one or two other Assistant Engineers or technical support employees assigned to work on a common project.

The ideal candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or honors science degree and/or eligible for P.Eng. preferably Mechanical, Chemical or Nuclear discipline
- At least 1-2 years of practical continuing experience or a Master’s degree in related field.
- Must be conversant with computer environments, familiar with state-of-the-art methodologies and computer codes.
- Familiarity with the application of standard techniques, prescribed engineering testing, analysis, design and computation methods, procedures and criteria including knowledge of codes and standards.
- Familiarity with deterministic safety analysis of nuclear plant systems (process and safety) for a variety of postulated accidents.
