The Role
As the delivery systems coordinator, you will be part of the technical services department reporting into the engineering manager, technical services. This role is responsible for ensuring processes and systems are in place, connected and complied with to maintain and improve productivity while limiting risk within technical services (TS), delivery. This role is responsible for administering and integrating CAD tools, design procedures and work instructions to support technical services project designs workflows. This role will also have project team assignments and will perform review engagements, and ensure we are learning from our experiences to improve the work we do in the future.
In this role, you will:
- Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement to support technical services objectives
- Coordinate and enforce Cameco technical services CAD standards and procedures to support multi-discipline level CAD workflows
- Drive consistency with 3D environments across projects and disciplines, including work executed by external engineering consultants
- Lead the CAD support effort within technical services discipline teams and interface with Cameco site maintenance engineering or other external consultants to support any CAD requests
- Act as the subject matter expert for managing Cameco’s Autodesk Vault professional implementation and integration with Plant3D, Advanced Steel, and ElecDes. Lead migration efforts of controlled engineering records (CERs) to Cameco Vault. Coordinate with Cameco’s business technology services to resolve technical issues
- Act as a technical administrator for other tools such asBluebeam
- Support design teams with 3D modeling and model reviews, interdisciplinary 3D model and drawing development and checking for correctness and accuracy Travel to sites to support implementation when required
Required:
- Engineering technologist diploma
- A minimum of ten years of experience as a technologist
- A.Sc.T, C.E.T., or international equivalent
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
- Experience working with CAD systems and 3D design tools and platforms
- Good understanding of project design workflow, 3D modeling workflows and CAD coordination Occasional travel to site by aircraft
Recommended:
- CAD CAM technologist diploma
- P.Tech, B.Eng or bachelors degree in applied science
- P.Eng or international equivalent
- Experience with Autodesk CAD platforms such as Plant 3D, Inventor, Advanced Steel, ElecDes, Vault, Navisworks, etc.
