Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world. The Role
Cameco has an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join a highly skilled group in support of the corporation’s financial reporting. Working within a team of professionals, you will undertake various types of analytical and reporting activities and collaborate with stakeholders from various corporate departments.
In this role, you will:
- Participate in the monthly close, including the completion of monthly schedules and reconciliations
- Execute financial analysis supporting both internal and external disclosures
- Assist in the delivery of ad-hoc deliverables for stakeholders as they arise
- Support on-going continuous improvement initiatives and projects as required, including proactively participating in the identification and development of efficient, value-add processes Comply with established internal controls
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, accounting, finance or a related field
- Seven (7) to ten (10) years of relevant work experience
- Professional accounting designation (CPA)
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge of consolidation and accounting principles (IFRS)
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Recommended:
- Ability to prioritize assignments, manage deadlines and organize work independently
- Experience using ERP software (SAP S/4HANA) and consolidation systems (Group Reporting)
- Pro-active approach to potential improvements
- Approach that focuses on the details with the ability to consider the bigger picture
- Result oriented, proactive, with a mindset of continuous improvement
