Cameco Fuel Manufacturing is seeking a Full-Time Operator to support our Cobourg facility. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Tubing Supervisor.
Position and Responsibilities
Position typically involves the following activities:
- Floating between the Pilger Hall and Finishing area when needed
- Operation and preventive maintenance of cold pilgering and finishing equipment
- The performance of in-process product and process checks as well as making decisions regarding how to react to the results of those checks within the finishing and pilger area.
- Performing tooling changes and equipment set-up on pilger and tube cutting equipment
- Utilizing your knowledge of policies and procedures to solve operational problems on your own
- Packaging of export tubing
- Cleaning of equipment and debris/standing liquid from the work area.
- Entry of information into the Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
- This position requires an individual to be flexible with hours.
- Must be able to do the full scope of the job.

Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
- High School diploma.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in a Manufacturing plant
- Mechanical aptitude and strong trouble shooting abilities.
Asset
- 2-3 years of relevant experience as a Pilger or Finishing Operator
