Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world. The Role
Cameco has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic individual to join the corporate finance team. Working within a team of professionals, you will collaborate with stakeholders from various corporate departments as you oversee the period-end close and help ensure the systems utilized by the finance team are optimized and performing as expected.
In this role, you will:
- Support the timely and accurate processing of the monthly close while ensuring the integrity of all financial master data
- Ensure access to all financial and banking systems is appropriate
- Provide SAP support and training to various corporate stakeholders as a finance subject matter expert
- Lead and support on-going continuous improvement initiatives and projects, including the proactive identification and development of efficient, value-add processes Comply with, and ensure the teams compliance with, established internal controls
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, accounting, finance or a related field
- Seven to ten years of relevant work experience
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered
- Ability to prioritize assignments, manage deadlines and organize work independently
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Recommended:
- Professional accounting designation (CPA)
- Experience using SAP S/4HANA, Group Reporting and SAC
- Result oriented, proactive, with a mindset of continuous improvement
